Post: Thank you very much for your detailed answer. Usually I don't use a laptop's GPU , but an RTX 3080 needs to work for science :) I checked the load and temperature, and they look fine. Up to 98 % load, temp 75°C, ... CPU is an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX 8c/16t, HT ON RAM 32 Go @ 3200 Ghz On Collatz and Primegrid, 3x faster than my old GTX 1080 I thought the performance on GPUGRID would be approx the same as an RTX 2080, but I was wrong. Thank You again. Best Philippe |

Post: Hello, My machine 585768 is equiped with a 16 Go RAM RTX 3080. On my profile, it looks like GPUGrid only "sees" 4 Go. Does someone know the source of this problem and if this might explain the low speed for WU's completion. Thank You |

Post: Crunching is a creative and challenging way of learning about the behavior of our computers and improving them while helping the GPUGRID team to understand a bit more the mystery of the world we live in and the diseases that affect not only us, but also the people we love. The GPUGRID team couldn’t be more satisfied and proud of forming part of this noble project, and so we’d like to deeply thank each of the 1000 users that connect to us every day, making us part of their lives and making them part of ours, as a team. +1 !!! |

Post: Thank you to Richard Haselgrove, Retvari Zoltan* and Jacon Klein for their explanation, pro-activity and involvment. Have updated the "client_state" for the 5 "GERARD VERY LONG" I have. Hope, if it works, that they won't cancel the whole badge ! First 2 results in about 3h30 and 5h15 ... Best, Phil1966 |

Post: Good points, both of you! (Richard Haselgrove & Dayle) Are we supposed to change something manually ? Do we need to increase the <max_nbytes> ? Or do we need to check if this is necessary before doing so ? |

Post: Please don't cancel any more WUs to get them! I checked and they are already all taken at this point so only if they fail on some machines will they get added to the queue again. They are only a single step so they are not coming back. Strongly Disagree with you. I also asked if one should abort WU's to obtain the "VERY LONG". But in French, so I guess you did not understand. Furthermore, it was a question only, not a suggestion. http://www.gpugrid.net/forum_thread.php?id=3988&nowrap=true#39586 I don't know Retvari Zoltan in the real life, but your post is insulting, as he is very often posting here in order to HELP crunchers + to give very good advices. We are here to help science, not to denigrate a particular person. Retvari Zoltan, I want to thank you for the help and advices you give on this forum. Best Regards, Phil1966 |

Post: Hello Zoltan, Thank you for your message and your explanations. The reference to Petebe's host was an answer to Stefan's post who took it as a kind of reference for GTX980 / runtime. I don't insist further :) Thank You Best Philippe |
