You should reduce the number of CPU tasks running on your system. BOINC manager -> Options -> Computing Preferences -> Computing tab -> Use at most 99% of the CPUs You can reduce it further if needed. On HT/SMT (two threads per core) CPUs you can reduce this percentage to 50. To achieve maximum GPU performance there should be no CPU tasks running at all (or 1 CPU task at most). Thanks I know that but it doesn't change even when I turn CPU tasks off and run just the GPU task - always around 19% GPU usage. 9300 seconds runtimes on new WUs doesn't look bad so maybe task manager is wrong?
