My AMD R9 290 says the opposite. http://www.gpugrid.net/result.php?resultid=13763788 If GPU is incompatible (HD4000/5000), will fall back to CPU execution I got an AMD Mobility 5650 in my Laptop and it's working fine (~87 % GPU load).
