The symptom is the same every time: progresses 2-3% and then seems to proceed at an extremely slow rate, sky-rocketing completion estimations to ~168 hours. The GPU gets close to idle (solely judging by its temperature since I'm on Linux). Same here, GX750Ti and Ubuntu 12.04, thus I usually cancel these jobs, if I get them. Others (Barna, Nathan etc) run nice, so no problem for me. Just to confirm you are not alone :)

I'm very interested, thank you biodoc, what driver version exactly are you running ? I have the same issue, around 5% both for CPU and GPU usage on a GTX 750Ti with Drivers 334.21 on Ubuntu 12.04.4 and the WU makes almost no progress. I already installed the patched boinc client as suggested in this thread but no difference.

And I run tasks on CPU but have a core reserved for GPUGrid always. Peter_M, you completed other work with the 8.21 app, so it's probably not an app issue. It sounds like the WU is/was just running very slow. Check the GPU clocks in NVidia X server and if need be restart the application, system or even abort the WU. Are you running CPU tasks as well as GPU tasks? It doesn't look like it but if you are try to suspend the CPU work.

I have a A2ART4Ex04x21-GERARD_A2ART4E-1-14-RND8074_3 task, cuda 60 8.21 and after half an hour its at 0.2% done, CPU is at almost 100% while GPU is almost idle.

Thank you Retvari, I'm on 64 bit. I think I just should not look so much after long WU's, its ok to crunch short ones too (these I get always, just no longs anymore).

However, at a certain point, when you've seen the status frequently for a couple of days and also get that regular "no longs are available" one gets a pretty reliable picture, probably its no WU's for Linux only as others not seem to have such issues. Anyway, thanks again, I might check this project later again.

My setup is to only get longs and to allow other wu's if no longs are available. The message in the log says "Di 15 Apr 2014 14:39:33 CEST \| GPUGRID \| No tasks are available for Long runs (8-12 hours on fastest card)" Something is wrong there. Regards ps.: I'm on Ubutu 12.04 with a GFTX750Ti and I got longs before they run out a couple of days ago.

Is it still valid that there are no or only rarely WU's for this card ? I have GPU grid added since about half a day and all I get is the message in the Messages log that there are no WU's available.
