I copy my post here (Please, can the administrator close the other trend ?): My antivirus shows one alert that says acemd-918-80 in the folder of GPUGRID is behaving suspiciously in my computer and detect the threat SONAR.AM.C!g17. Is there anyone who can tell me if is a real threat and I must erase this archive? If I scan directly the archive the antivirus don't detect any threat. What do you advise: erase or continue with acemd-918-80 ? Is acemd-918-80 necessary for crunching? My SO is Windows 10 64 bits. I have a 384.76 driver too but I don't know if it will "crunch" well because, as many others, I don't have new WU since the third of July. A commentary from the moderator about the lack of WUs will be welcome.

If so, copy it to your desktop. It should have the .msi file you needed - Exit the installer - Reattempt to uninstall, and if you get prompted for the .msi file, try to have it browse to find it in the folder on your desktop It has worked. Now I am going to wait for the finish of the ongoing tasks to install VM . I thought I had tried this trick before but surely I did not do well. Following your instructions has been very easy. Have you tried re-running the original installer for that exact version, and then choosing to uninstall during the installer, or maybe repair, or maybe re-install ? Try all the options, using the original installer. That's the suggestion I've been talking about. Usually it makes sense and sometimes works fine, but in my case, when I try to install always I get the same message whether I use the original version or a new one.

(Message 47020) Posted 18 Apr 2017 by Lluis Post: Did you try uninstalling VirtualBox, restarting, then installing it again? That often helps with missing file problems. The problem is that when I try to uninstall VirtualBox appears this message or a similar one: "VirtualBox-4.3.12-r93733-MultiArch_amd64.msi" is NOT FOUND (In a TEMP directory) and I can't continue the process of uninstalling. A tip in internet explains how to overrule this problem and some guys said that it works. But not for me.

Probably I did a mistake in the process and since then it has been impossible to install VM as always a missing archive is reported. I found others users of VM with the same problem and tips of how to fix it, but in my case it didn't work.

Thank you for your advice. After 30 months crunching with a GTX 660 I didn't realize than uncheck the "Short" option in the preferences was a good service for the others crunchers now that I have a GTX 1070 (I thought that was selfish and after your information I realize is just the opposite). By the way. Anybody can explain me what is Python Runtime ? Is aproppiate with my graphic card and Windows 10?

Ideally people would test when not using their CPU or only have 1 or 2 CPU apps running on say a quad core/8thread type setup. State if you are using multiple GPU's and what PCIE version is in use. It might be an idea to focus on the 50nm SDOERR_CASP tasks first and then look at the PABLO tasks separately, as performances appear to significantly differ for these task types. Is that the idea? As the intention is to do a public petition and share a little information I do a "reply" in this trend. I beg your pardon for the inconveniences.). In some messages, like this one, Skgiven has done a comparative between different types of graphics cards (thanks for the work!). I just upgraded from a Gigabyte GTX 660 OC to a Palit GTX 1070 Dual. With the firsts results it seems the GTX 1070 outperform the GTX 660 by 265%. If I compare with this table, the GTX 1070 seems 135% faster than the Titan and a little slower than the GTX 980Ti. Do you think that is true? As the configuration of my computer is not optimized and I bought a Palit because its size (I didn't know its performance) I'll appreciate very much a new comparative that include the Pascal brand. Is worth to buy a GTX 980 or is best value a GTX 970 (34% cheaper) ? Thanks for your advice.

(The PCIEX16 slot conforms to PCI Express 3.0 standard.) 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4) 2 x PCI slots They told me something like that the second PCI-e is 4 and is necessary a minimum of 8. I don't understand but it seems very similar at what you say. It's a pity, but better to know before to act. I repeat. Thank you very much.
