General question to those reading this board. I have noticed one of my crunching boxes has experienced a large number of various task failures over the past week or so. The box in question is XP Pro 32bit SP3, Intel q9559 quad core and 2xGTX 260 core 216 SC's mildly overclocked. All was running fine for a long time. I have down leveled my GPU drivers to 185.65 earlier today after uninstalling them. No apparent luck. Other than going back to factory GPU speed settings, I am at a loss what to try next. Has anybody else been experiencing GPUGRID WU crunching problems lately? N Crunching for the benefit of humanity and in memory of my dad and other family members. |

I did 2-3 weeks ago. I posted about it in this thread: restart.coor My issue turned out to be heat. I realized that I had an issue with my WCing setup, but I didn't think it was that much of an issue. However, once I made the corrections....the problem went away. I push my equipment quite hard though.... Not sure where you are located, but it's spring time here and temps are varying widely. The higher day time temps combined with the radiant heat from the sun increases temps quite a bit in this room. Just so ya know, I have been getting ~1 error/day between 3 machines for the last 3-4 days. I'm not quite sure what's up with that. HTH |
