I had suspened all my tasks lat night becasue I was planning on moving my GTX 260 to another computer. I finished processing all tasks this morning and tried to move my video card but I could not get it to work so I reinstalled it on the original computer. I then "allow new tasks" but nothing has started. I tried a reset but still get no new tasks to download and start. How do I get more work ? Even the downloaded tasks to not show up anywhere. 3/23/2009 11:12:39 AM|GPUGRID|URL: http://www.gpugrid.net/; Computer ID: 28822; location: home; project prefs: default 3/23/2009 11:14:54 AM|GPUGRID|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Never mind.....I rebooted and everything started to work. I did stop and start BOINC but that did not seem to help. The reboot seems to have freed everything up. I now have one active and two queued up. |

There are problems with the 6.5.0 and earlier versions of BOINC where GPU tasks do not start when you would expect them to. Theory says that this has been fixed in the 6.6.x series though I have not tried any of those versions recently because I could not get the work fetch to work well enough to keep work on hand. IN my case these last couple of days I wanted to clear the Garli tasks from The Lattice Project and had to suspend the universe, stop BOINC and start it again to get it to run the tasks. Sadly, the new GPU Garli is not (in my opinion) ready for prime time (it has all the old issues and probably some new ones also) so I have suspended them (NNW). Good that you got going ... :) |
