For days I have running two cards GTX 295 with NVIDIA driver 181.22 on two equal systems: motherboard GIGABYTE GA-P31-DS3L ver 1.1, Intel quad Q6600, 3 GB RAM, Windows 32bit SP3 and BOINC 6.4.5. Both cards run well 24/7. But a reboot creates BSOD! Then I have to boot to the restricted mode and to re-install the driver. Now a reboot in normal mode succeeds and all works again until the next reboot. On a third system with equal data there is no video signal at all, even with no driver installed and even in restricted mode. BIOS-update didn't help. Trying an installation on older AMD dual-core systems also leads to no video signal. Installation of a 9800 GTX+ works without any problems on all of my PCs. I am wondering whether these systems are too old for a GTX 295. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks! |
