Some WUs are not getting the full potential of the VGA

I noticed that some WUs (don't ask me which ones...) take longer than usual to complete and they really don't use the full power of my VGA, a 8800GT. Now, for instance, it's running smooth at 56°. Under "normal full load" - which was the case of most WUs until some days ago - it runs around 61°. Ubuntu64, BOINC 6.4.5, driver 177.82. Anyone got the same issue? |

Oh come on! No replies? Nobody has the same problem? Well, not running Ubuntu 64 ... I use BOINC Manager 6.5.0 and my cards are 9800GT, GTX 280 and GTX 295 ... so, *I* for one, don;t have this problem ... :) Sorry ... What I WILL say is that there are three sizes of tasks (in general) and they take three different amounts of time (plus or minus some slop) ... they are also awarded 3 different credit amounts ... So, feel free to compare and contrast the values in my account ... the closest I have to your card is the 9800GT and that is in the Xeon-32A system ... happy shopping my task list ... {edit} Added links and note: The claims you can see are for 1,239; 2,478; and 3,718 ... |

Everytime I check my GPU Temp it's (53+/-1)°C, so I haven't spotted any of these abnormal tasks. MrS Scanning for our furry friends since Jan 2002 |
