Hi, for some reason, i get the following error message: Not reporting or requesting Tasks Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks well, its not really an error message, but it should request work... is there something i can do about it? i use Boinc 6.6.3 |

Hi, for some reason, i get the following error message: The scheduling logic for BOINC 6.6.3 is very broken. Expect 6.6.4 soon. Until then, go back to 6.6.0 or 6.4.5. Reno, NV Team: SETI.USA |

If you can't get any work, suspend all projects then pick the one that needs jobs and unsuspend it. Toggle the "no new tasks" and "allow new tasks". I had to do this for each project yesterday. I totally ran dry of GPU tasks (seti cuda) and out of 10 other projects only 3 were crunching on a quad core. You have to suspend the other jobs, just toggleing the "no new work" and the "update" will not do anything. GPUGRID refused to give me anything because Boinc kept asking for "0" new jobs but the suspend trick got me some. 6.6.3, q6700, vista64, gtx280 a comparable dual opteron (4 cores total) with vista 64 and a 9800gtx did not have this problem. I think the faster gtx280 and intel quad messed up their scheduling algorithm. |

6.6.3, q6700, vista64, gtx280 There is a major initialization bug in 6.6.3 ... eventually this bug will demonstrate itself basically as you have seen it ... the computers running dry because the calculation of LDT is fatally flawed. 6.6.4 should have the fix for that bug (assuming it was built against the checked in fix) and you might want to try it instead ... then report back ... |
