It is necessary A USB flash drive to \"Install Other OS\" on PS3. I used a CF Card. You onle need about 10MB of free space for 2 files. The instructions say you can use CF,SD,Memory Stick,USB or Optical (I assume they mean CD or DVD, but it would be a waste to program 8MB on something non-reusable, unless you have Rewritable type blanks). Once installed you can erase the files back off the memory card. Its only needed once so you could borrow one if you don\'t have one.
