On the manual, Blue is x16 and Black is x8 ...when using single card on blue, link is x16. when using dual card on blue and black link is x8 and x8. My question is why the blue is now operating at x8 not x16. The Asus P5Q-E uses the Intel P45 Express Chipset. This chipset only supports x16 PCI-E for a single slot. For two slots, it redistributes the available PCI-E channels across both slots, so you have 2 slots at x8.
