Hi guys, I am running a GSO 9600 Video board from Asus. It is not GTX 280 but in my opinion this chip has good [price/work done/power consuming] ration. Anyways, my problem is that from time to time I get a "Compute Error" error for certain results. It is perfectly OK to me to get such an error in the beginning of work unit. But getting such an error in the end after 40,000 or 50,000 seconds of work is... well, not very pleasant :) Could someone please check out what the problem might be? Problem work units so far are: http://www.gpugrid.net/result.php?resultid=215169 http://www.gpugrid.net/result.php?resultid=232959 Thanks |

What's your GPU temperature during crunching? (use e.g. GPU-Z to read it out) Which driver version? MrS Scanning for our furry friends since Jan 2002 |

It is perfectly OK to me to get such an error in the beginning of work unit. But getting such an error in the end after 40,000 or 50,000 seconds of work is... well, not very pleasant :) Indeed, it happened to me one time (222327) after ~67300 seconds (=18 h), I feel with you, error posted here but not answered. Hope such errors will be an exception that proves the rule of GPUgrid to be a predominant error-free project (got 4 errors totally, can´t complain at all). But: in 18 hours crunching I could have done ~10 workunits in folding@home, that´s the cause I switched over one machine. |
