after crunching a lot of ps3grid WUs for several weeks I'm getting this error now:

It seems that there's something going wrong during computation of the task.

Do you use another account for your PS3 than here in the forum? The LinuxFan account shows 0 credits and no computers attached to GPUGRID/PS3GRID...

The link to the hostid you posted actually shows only errors since November 9th! And looking at your log it seems you use the wrong BOINC client for PS3GRID. AFAIK there's no 6.x client for the PS3 available that works with PS3GRID, maybe that's the version from Dotsch?

For PS3GRID you have to use the BOINC client compiled by the PS3GRID staff. You can download it here - http://www.ps3grid.net/PS3GRID/PS3client/boinc_client_ps3grid.tgz

Yes it's the version from dotsch. It worked for several weeks but then suddenly stopped working.

With the boinc version you posted I'm getting communication errors:

Weird... It works for me on 3 PS3s and for many others too...

Have you completely deleted all other BOINC files of Dotsch's version? I also read something about setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH for his version, maybe that's why the PS3GRID BOINC client isn't working now?

For the PS3GRID version you have only to decompress the .tgz file, put the folder in e.g. the home dir and run the client in a terminal with

./boinc (--daemon)

and the manager with

./boincmgr

Nothing else should be needed...
