It's strange. I can update it.
I did it with both *.png and *.jpg

One issue is that the pressing of the button does not seem to update the avatar image. When I did mine off of a project where I had an avatar, there was no indication that the image uploaded. But, pressing update after the no action did load the avatar.

So, my first question is if [B^S]Stefan@Home did try an update after seemingly failing to upload the image ...

My second question is if he would send me, or you, the image so someone else can try to see if the problem is with the specific file in question ...

Well I tried it again, and it doesn't work for me...

I only clicked on "use this uploaded avatar" in the community prefs, choose the file from the HDD, and then click on update on the bottom of the site. Then the site reloads and I still see the old avatar in the avatar preview, but I also don't get any error message...

No need to send me the file ... i dowlonaded it from here ... and I cannot use it either ...

INterestingly enough I tried another image and that did not work either ... so, I am not sure what is going one here ....

I think the REAL problem is not that you cannot save the avatar, it is that you cannot CHANGE it once it is set. I tried several of the Avatar images here and cannot change my avatar image from the one that I have currently set ... so, the problem is not that you cannot save the avatar ... it is that once you have selected one, you cannot change it ...

And I tried at SaH and there is nothing wrong with the file ... so, the problem is here ... not sure what the problem could be ...

But, I hope the new information will help the web guys figure this out ...

All I can say is that it is not the file, it works on another project ... and I cannot change my avatar to any avatar that already works ... so ...

The best we can do, now we wait again ... though, all things considered this is not something I would be too excited about ... but that is just me ... I usually have avatars turned off just to save a little on thread speed ... again, it is just me ...

Well, SOMETHING changed ...

Cause I was NOT able to use his Avatar ... now I can ... well ... I guess it is fixed ... or was never broken, we just did not know how to use the buttons or something ...

Whatever ...

It seems to work for me now too ...

Great! Now I was able to change my avatar...

But it still didn't work like it should. I first had to click on "use no avatar", then update, and after that I was able to upload a new avatar...
