Ha ha LOL. Projects can't win for losing. All the posts about how the project credits tasks absurdly high and now a post how unfair the acemd tasks award credit using the official BOINC CreditNew algorithm. |

In fact you have 10 times less credits running ACEMD3 compared to ATMML: ACEMD3: 16_000 credits for 1_600 CPU seconds, so 10 credits per CPU second ATMML: 2_700_000 for 27_000 CPU seconds, so 100 credits per CPU second I actually find that ACEMD3 tasks are still worth it as they require less time to complete, so it is way less likely that you lose your computations. Also the 2_700_000 credits for ATMML are distributed only if you complete the task 24h maximum after you received it. |

You don't lose any progress when stopping the client when running acemd tasks. They've properly checkpointed and resumed since just about the beginning of their appearance at the project. A safe project option for those that can't leave the client running 24/7. |
