every couple weeks or so i check on my BOINC Mgr. messages, and there always seems to be one for GPUGRID needing more disk space. It's currently using 18.5GB, and now wants even more (19073MB).

Do i really need to set aside 20 Gigs for this project, or is there some kind of leak or something? Can I just delete whatever's in the GPUGRID project folder (or however it works, i don't even know what folder to check)?

Thanks,
Rich

pretty much, yes you do need that much space, and maybe even more depending on if you're trying to run more than one task at a time.

the newer apps come packaged in fairly large archives that take up 1-4GB each, and when the task is running, an extracted and running app can take up to ~10GB, on top of the previously mentioned app archives.

if you don't have any active tasks running, you can reset the project via the BOINC Manager, it will delete all the files and it will have to redownload the large archives necessary for whatever apps you're running (like Quantum Chem and ATM/ATMML).

you can also go into your BOINC Manager computing settings and allow BOINC to use more of the disk space.

Awesome, thanks. That really explains everything. I'll increase the disk usage in the controls.
