All of my WU's "Error while computing?". Could someone check my results and tell me what is going on, please. I have downloaded the Python App and after installing it the WU is still busy computing so I cannot tell if that would help. It is past midnight banging my head against a concrete wall. Will check this post in the morning. |

Your not the only one. I had a look at your computers, they are all quite capable of handling this project. Your error code is the same as mine and a few others also crash with the same error. Exit status 195 (0xc3) EXIT_CHILD_FAILED From what I can tell the code is botched in these tasks. It's odd that my 1080 and your two cards can't complete these tasks, but I found one wingman with a 1050 that did. I am stopping with GPU grid for awhile until they figure out what in the world is going on. This kind of stuff should have been found during their testing earlier this year. |

I'm not a Python expert programmer but the Tracebacks on these failures seem to be Python errors to me. I have seen quite a few of these fail for some time now. Occasionally some do make it through though so I keep computing and take what I can get. I don't think the scientists on this project are expert Python programmers so they probably need some help tracking down these particular issues. Also, the Python app is downloaded with every task so you do not need to install it separately. Just make sure your PC is tuned up the best you can. |

You need to increase the size of your paging file in Windows. Take it off automatic or system preferred sizing and change to custom sizing. Make it at least 50GB. That should be enough for Windows. |

I want to strangle Windows11. They seem to have taken the final control and shunted us out of the loop. |

I think I solved the problem by increasing my disk cache to 50GB. Maybe overkill but the task has reached 15% from 2%. It is really chewing at the CPU and just sniffing the GPU. Thank you, Keith. |

Richard Haselgrove posted images of the location for the configuration of the pagefile in Windows 7 and 11. Yes, it seems Microsoft moves the controls around a lot. https://www.gpugrid.net/forum_thread.php?id=5336&nowrap=true#59029 I run Linux and don't have to worry about such things. Hope the tasks continue to crunch for you. |
