Hello Is there a different between a gpu which get 16 lanes and a gpu which get 8 lanes? Cause I can't find a mainboard with 3 or 4 PCIe-slots each with 16 lanes. cia Txt.file |

If it's 16 or 8 PICe lanes doesn't matter at all. Even 4x doesn't matter for that other protein folding project. 1x is measurably slower though. |

The lanes only reduces or increases the amount of data a card can get from the mainboard ... For GPU-Computing, this data is very low, so this doesn't change anything. And even for high-end gamin, I think the difference between 8x and 16x isn't not viewable ^^ |
