Why does not boinc use estimations from progress.log?

for reference 35 hours is less than two days, but boinc estimates time as 8 days.

Because you are running a new application with no established APR yet.

BOINC needs 10 validated tasks for every application before it can develop an APR which is used for estimating runtimes.

As soon as you accumulate those tasks, BOINC will get things right.
