When those things happened, the PC was rebooted about 12 hours before, and the last WU ended some days ago The Memory Error can happen sooner if your Starting & Stopping BOINC a lot, every time you shut off BOINC & Start it again the Video Memory Increases by the same amount as if you ran a whole Wu ...
