A couple of comments.
GPUGrid is a back up project for me.
I really like the way this works out my GTX1660s
It take a bit over a day to process even on that reasonably current and relatively powerful GPU, not the best for a back up project.
The work done could very well have profound implications.
The credit given out makes a mockery of BOINC credit.

A couple of comments on your comments:
GPUGrid is a back up project for me.
GPUGrid has very long workunits with short deadlines for years, lately there are long breaks in work distribution.
Judiging by these characteristics, GPUGrid is not the ideal backup project.

The GTX 1660s is from the previous generation but it's as much current as it could be because GPUGrid doesn't work on the current generation. But the GTX 1660s never was powerful. "Relatively powerful" = it's the top of the entry level cards.

not the best for a back up project.
The project won't change its characteristics based on the function you designated for it nor the hardware you run it on.

The credit given out makes a mockery of BOINC credit.
The credit is not made for comparing one project to another.
It is intended to serve as the measurement of the relative performance of different hardware within the same project.
