Používají program ACEMD, který podporuje CUDA, ale ne openCL. ACEMD je vysoce výkonný kód molekulární dynamiky pro biomolekulární systémy navržené speciálně pro NVIDIA GPU. ACEMD je jednoduchý a rychlý a používá velmi podobné příkazy a vstupní soubory NAMD a výstupní soubory jako NAMD nebo Gromacs. https://software.acellera.com/docs/latest/acemd/index.html |

This project started on PS3. Then it had to move to GPUs. AMD didn't have GPGPU architecture back then, only NVidia. The CUDA platform is still more mature than the OpenCL platform of AMD. It can do MD simulations in a more power efficient way than the competitor. In the meantime there was not enough manpower, funding and will to develop a different application for AMD GPUs. In the relevance of GPU driver maturity, I'd like to point out that AMD has a very mature driver and system for GPU computing. As someone with an extremely powerful GPU, I would like to utilize it to its fullest extent, which includes using it for helping to advance medical research. Have the GPUGrid developers figured out a way to let us AMD users finally contribute to this system? |

As someone with an extremely powerful GPU, I would like to utilize it to its fullest extent, which includes using it for helping to advance medical research. Have the GPUGrid developers figured out a way to let us AMD users finally contribute to this system? AMD drivers still leave a lot to be desired. especially on Linux.

I was hoping to contribute with my 6700XT for the next days but then got the message the AMD GPUs are not supported. |
