I tried BOINC today, followed all instructions, turned off protection mode.

Only thing is i use 180.43 drivers instead of 178.24, but that one IS CUDA-enabled.

After i add http://www.gpugrid.net and project added, it says "Communication deferred 23:59:59" and counts down. After long time still haven't start?!?!?!

Other projects can run and download and process but not GPUGRID.

BTW BOINC Only can process on GPU for GPUGRID? Not other projects?

Which BOINC version do you use?
Does BOINC recognize the GPU? Can you post the first few (30-40) lines of the messages tab after you newly started BOINC?

Normally BOINC doesn't only show Communication defered... There should also be an error message before or after that line in the messages. Could you maybe post that too?

And yes, as of now GPUGRID is the only BOINC project that uses the GPU.

Not supported???

Please have a look at this forum thread for supported cards.

If you have a 8800GTS with 320 or 640 MB with a G80 chip, your card is not supported. If it is a 8800 GTS with 512 or 1024 MB it has the newer G92 chip and it should be supported by GPUGRID...

What can I do?

Hi Alienhan, I can't see your Nvidia GPU. Have you correctly installed the driver? I see you're running Windows, but I don't see your GPU.

Boinc 6.2.28 is probably too old anyway.
