Thank you for sharing your pictures.
I see your rigs are self-made ones, for sure you have reasons to be proud of them.
I´m very curious on this also, since I've ever been very keen on the same.

Taking advantage that this Sunday has 25 hours:
Here I share images just taken of my usually crunching rigs.
Some of the chassis come from rescued scrap, and all of them are modded in some way...
Your initiative was also useful for me to make a self-inventory, and a litte basic hardware maintenance. (All rigs are happily crunching again ;-)

Are you bored?

As a "Find the differences" game:
I first posted pictures of my rigs five months ago, at October 27th 2019.
First difference: that Sunday had 25 hours, and this one has 23 hours ;-)
Being a restless hardware enthusiast, from then to now ALL of my rigs have been modified in some way.
I leave here this challenge for finding the differences.

Looks like you have scored some shiny new GPU's in Rigs 1 to 4. Nice!

You might have to explain the difference in Rig5, I missed the difference.

On next weekend I'll publish the solution with all differences.
First, I have myself to redact a listing of changes made to every rig.
You're right, spacially at rig #5 the difference is very subtle. I didn't expect for anybody discovering it...

You replaced the RAM modules, the new ones have heatsinks. They are black, so really hard to spot, but they are thicker than the original ones. You've also cleaned the CPU cooler, and made a note of it on its label. You've replaced the back fans earlier, and made a note of it on the metal above in it, but you've made the 1st photo before making that note.

no it has it's own radiator that vents outside.

That is a decent piece of plumbing. Getting the right size pump must have been a challenge.
A well thought out setup.

How does the temps of the air cooled rig compare to the water cooled rig?

I’m just using 2x standard D5 pumps for PC watercooling. Set to 80% speed each.

Temps of the 7x watercooled RTX 2080s stay around 50-55C while running GPUGRID. The air cooled cards are about 60-70C

As I promised, here is the solution to the "Find the differences" game.


* Rig #1

-1) TACENS 80+ PSU crashed, and was replaced by a MARS GAMING 85+ modular one.

-2) Bottom graphics card was replaced by an ASUS DUAL-GTX1650-O4G.

-3) Optical unit at upper right, originally connected, was disconnected for energy saving.

-4) Processor's heatsink and fan were cleaned, and fan installed in a (90º CW rotated) new position.

-5) SSDs containing Windows XP and Linux Operating Systems were respectively labeled at chasis by "XP" and "L"


* Rig #2

-1) Original graphics card was replaced by an ASUS TUF-GTX1650-4G-GAMING


* Rig #3

There was a revolution at this rig:

-1) Original socket LGA775 motherboard was replaced by a new GIGABYTE Z390UD for socket LGA1151.

-2) Original CORE 2 QUAD Q9550S processor was replaced by a new CORE I5-9400F (not seen at photo).

-3) New DDR4 memory modules were installed (2x KINGSTON HX426C16FB3/8 = 16GB RAM).

-4) A new front 80x80 fan was installed for additional air intake.

-5) Original GTX950 graphics card was replaced by three other cards, from top to bottom: GTX1650, GTX750, GT1030.

-6) Two SSds containing Linux 18.04 and 19.10 were identified by labeling them at chassis.

-7) Original IDE optical unit was replaced by a SATA one, as new motherboard doesn't support legacy IDE ports.


* Rig #4

-1) IDE optical unit coming from Rig #5 was installed at this rig, as its motherboard does support one IDE port.

-2) Original ASUS DUAL-GTX1660TI-O6G graphics card was displaced downwards on motherboard.

-3) On the previously liberated PCIE port, a second graphics card was installed (GIGABYTE GV-N750OC-2GI)


* Rig #5.
I'll extend a bit longer on Rig #5, the most difficult one.

-1) The rear fan at the upper left was really replaced immediately before I took the first photo, due to a problem like this.
Then I logged it with a black marker after taking the first photo. And I added "REPLACED" with blue marker just before taking the second photo, after 5 months past.

-2) The CPU heatsink was really replaced on october 12th 2019, and I logged it with a black marker.
At the moment of taking the second Photo, I noted that fan and heatsink's fins were blocked by cat's hair and trapped dust.
I cleaned them thoroughly, and logged it with blue marker over fan's flap.

-3) I tried to take the second set of photos at similar distances and angles that the first one.
The difference that can be appreciated on memory modules on this rig is due to a side lighting added on the second photo, causing a shadow reduction.
But on the two photos both memory modules were the same Kingston HyperX Black.

I forgot to mention this somewhat crunching rig and... :-)

You Americans are as rich as mind blowing!
Look at my poor set up(i5 5490 + GTX750ti + 24G RAM):

You need to either fill up that RAM slot that's missing or remove the 1st slot as you are only running single channel speeds opposed to dual channel speeds. Big difference.
