i CAN NOT get any work units. i keep getting communication deferred. i have reset the project, removed and re-added project, removed all other projects but this one, an i still can't get a work unit. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey TK I'll tell you it seems like GPUGride is really has been having all kinds of strange issues over the past few months. Some folks are just not getting new unites because well when their BOINC does finally check, they have all been sent. (See Tasks by Appications Below)

When it checks and there is nothing at the moment you get a deferred communication. It should go away after a while. If it's having some other issue, it may tell you what it is in the Event Log it's under Tools. It may be long if it's running multiple projects, mine is.

Update Even as of Oct 5 9:45 am there are no work units ready to send out for any GPUGrid projects. So lately it has just been hard having the Boinc send for work at the right time.

If you monitor their http://www.gpugrid.net/forum_forum.php?id=24 News thread you will see they are working on some new stuff. Maybe soon they can let us in on the secret of why things are just not running smooth for everyone. I Just finished up a long run workunit and I have no other GPUGrid jobs in my cue.Two of my project are showing Deffered Coms and they are Seti and Milky Way. THey have since changed back to blank.

If you look at their Server status section Current as of this posting it looked like this

I was able to pick up a Short run and one long run today, right around 8:00am and when I look at the Server Status at 10am there are no further units in any type ready to go out. All have already been sent.

Not sure if this will help you, but my BOINC Prefs are set to local and use these settings. I have an NVIDIA 1080ti which is pretty fast so I have it set to store only 1 days work. These limits apply to all my projects.
