I was there twice. First time business: sea trials for the HMCS Toronto. Afterwards the sailors took us to a local bar. I was impressed. Nothing like that in my sleepy San Antonio TX. The highlight was a drunk that yelled "only in Canada can you see this". Fortunately, for him, he did not attempt to get on the stage. The next time I went it was personnel but I could not remember the name or location of the bar. I was also impressed by Chinatown. Bigger, better and a lot cleaner than the one in San Francisco. Also did sea trials on the HMCS Halifax. Discovered Moosehead beer in Halifax. Hard to find in Texas.  |
