There is no working application for Turing based gpus yet.

Looking at various threads here, it is not clear if the RTX series work with GPUGRID. Under the Performance tab on this website I do see that the RTX-2080 is the best as rated on the "long WU chart" but I cannot find any top users or computer systems listed that actually have that NVidia device.

So are RTX devices useful here?

No the Turing cards work well with the new acemd3 app on Linux as we have already beta tested.

We are just waiting on Toni to release the acemd3 app officially. We think the hangup is that the Windows version of the app is proving difficult to finish.

Yes, they are if you use the new acemd3 app. It was available for a short period for beta testing the app on the Linux hosts. I successfully finished and validated all my beta tasks.
