The 2070 & 2060 Super revealed today - on sale July 9th. 2080 Super available July 27th.

Refresh advances the original 2070 / 2080 to EOL status.

256 more cores with higher core clocks are featured on 2060S (175W TDP) / 2070S (215W). The 2060S gains 2GB more memory and a 256bit bus. 2080 Super adds 128 cores with faster core and memory clocks at 250W.

2070S/ 2080S power too high in my IMO.
For example: My regular 2080 OCed @ 2070MHz peaks 225W
2080ti peaks 310W @ 2070MHz - 2060 sips 160W at 2.0GHz.

(peak power) on former cards I've owned:

-- GTX 970 = 265W @ 1632MHz (250W = 1.5GHz)

-- RTX 2070 = 235W @ 2070MHz

-- GTX 1080 = 220W @ 2.1GHz

-- GTX 1070 = 145W @ 2.1GHz

-- GTX 1060 3GB = 140W @ 2.1GHz

I was surprised by the EOL of the 2070 and 2080. I expected those products to move down the product stack with at least $50 reduced pricing. Of course I just bought two new RTX 2070's at full MSRP. If I had waited 3 weeks I could have bought the new RTX 2070S for the same price and had 2080 performance.

If you're buying in the GPU market - now is the time to find deals with announced AMD Navi release until the next generation arrives.

As for me - Do I want a 400$ RTX2070 (175W/190W max TDP BIOS) both with 1 (8)pin connector or RTX2060 super (175W/190W max)?

Or buy couple GTX1660's for price of super 2060 to replace a GTX1060 3GB and a GTX1070?

Leaning towards the full die 2070 and (1) 1660.

Hopefully the 2070 more efficient than one I returned. I made the mistake of buying a 2070 (190W/240W max ) with 8pin & 6pin.
This chip consumed more power than a 2080 (215W 250W) max BIOS.

What about the 2070 super - a cut down TU104 with 2080 rated TDP?

Find a reduced price RTX 2080 before off the shelves.
