I'm a civil electrical engineer and I do Android (in Kotlin) programming as a hobby. I can also code in parallel in MATLAB. I love endocrinology, programming and computing.

I have experience in Copper Extraction Engineering, so I have a way different background than what the PhD position is looking for... but it sounds (to me at least) incredibly interesting and once-in-a-lifetime kinda thing.

How under-qualified/out-of-place would I be?
