I've been checking the server status for quite some time and I've actually never seen a program under server status Red and "not running." db_purge is the only one not running. Just letting everyone know as I assume this is just a simple software crash or error but I'm sure it's very important.

Over at SETI, when the db_purge hangs up or gets to the point that the results or wu's that need to be purged gets to be larger than normal, it causes the I/O ops to normally impact the wu splitting. Never pretty. The admins need to kick the servers.
