Hi guys, For the first time I have a publication in my list of contribution. But, even if I contribute (my graphic card in fact) I can't read it, I have to buy it. Can it be possible to have a free access to a publication for which we had participate and some way already payed ?? (electricity, hardware) Regards, David |

The state of affairs in scientific publishing is indeed questionable... Some of our publications are here though. |

I am a bit curious to find out why I received only 2 publication badges although I am going to cross the 500 million credits barrier this week.^^ Both of my badges date back to paper submissions in October 2016 and May 2017 but I continuously contributed to GPUGRID even with increasing throughput since then - still I am not even amongst those having contributed to the 2018 Martinez-Rosell paper (submitted in October 2017 already), although statistically speaking this appears to make rather little sense if I compare the computational efforts of my machines to those who successfully got the badge - especially at the lower end of contribution throughput. Is there something wrong or am I just extremely unlucky? ;-) Michael. P.S.: Please take this as anything but criticism. ;-) In fact, GPUGRID is one of the few DC projects where contributers can really find out about their machine's scientific contributions... Michael, Did you ever receive any sort of response to your question... perhaps in a private message? I also wonder about the accuracy of the contribution reporting -- although, like you, I appreciate this feature of GpuGrid very much. I also noticed with the addition of this new study that others have a badge for a study in 2018 of which I contributed heavily to but it seems I do not have this badge. |

If users like Stoneageman, Retvari Zoltan or you don't have it then I doubt anyone does. It's not on the science page either. |

Zoltan, Stoneageman, jjch and most others have the 2018 Study by Ferruz The one you mentioned by Ferruz: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-19345-7 Dopamine D3 receptor antagonist reveals a cryptic pocket in aminergic GPCRs The recent one by Kapoor is different https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-017-11483-8 Dynamic and Kinetic Elements of µ-Opioid Receptor Functional Selectivity |

Yes I received the one by Kapoor but not Ferruz or Martinez-Rosell. Same over here despite heavyloads of continuous contributions throughout recent years. I also remember having worked massively on DOERR tasks. Michael. President of Rechenkraft.net - Germany's first and largest distributed computing organization. |

Yes I received the one by Kapoor but not Ferruz or Martinez-Rosell. +1 at least in regard to the 2018 jobs... seems there will be a fix soon I would love to see HCF1 protein folding and interaction simulations to help my little boy... someday. |

The state of affairs in scientific publishing is indeed questionable... Some of our publications are here though. Hi Toni, "questionable": it is a nice way to say that... 1. I have friends in a french research center (CBIB -INRA CNRS - Bioinfo studies) so I can have access if I want 2. If we don't have a serious knowledge on the matter, it's really hard to read (understand) (this is my case). So, few people are concerned. => But still, may be YOU (the university Pompeu Fabra) can give access (like my friend in the CBIB team) to the publication for the crunchers who participaded on. I don't know the law on this matter and may be my friend make something illegal when they give me a publication I asked for. But well, before working on the law, put Turing and Linux support on the run, I would like to participate again :D PS: the second link is down Regards |
