_cufft64_80.dll is downloading at 50% after 5h00 ! Thanks but does not help, Chrome stops downloading at 2.3/139MBytes. I have 0 issue with internet. Maybe that Norton blocks it ? Actually not, Norton off, still same issue. |

Thanks but does not help, Chrome stops downloading at 2.3/139MBytes. You should try a download manager, or I can send you the file in 5-10MB pieces if you give me your email address. |

_cufft64_80.dll is downloading at 50% after 5h00 ! That is the issue everyone is seeing with that file. I was able to get it over 7 minutes with BitComet, an http/torrent downloader as it made 20 connections to the file and was able to split up the timeouts better getting it in 20 pcs and putting it back together. That was with mirrors off too, so the file might even exist on mirrors of some kind as well as the one location I pointed out? Worth a try with a download manager for sure. |

I've put the file to onedrive. You can access it here. You should unzip it to C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\www.gpugrid.net . |

Maybe that the new boinc 7.6.33 is creating problems with the GPUGRID server ? BOINC still tries to download the file, there are several files were it keeps its download status, probably why it continue to download it ... deleting the _ version does not help Edit: I selected RESET project for GPUGRID in BOINC and it does not try to download anymore, that should be ok now. |

mmm there is no short or long task available anymore. |

Maybe that the new boinc 7.6.33 is creating problems with the GPUGRID server ? There are a number of threads concerning the slow downloads here. It has nothing to do with BOINC versions. There are also several threads on the lack of work available. Take a look at them. There's just not enough work and the monthly crunchathon or whatever it's called just makes things a lot worse. All it does it take the work from the people who regularly crunch here. |

mmm there is no short or long task available anymore. Same here. Any update? When will Pascal cards be officially supported? |

mmm there is no short or long task available anymore. Well, that is already the case. We just have the problem of being undersupplied with tasks, but that is a very general one. I would love to see HCF1 protein folding and interaction simulations to help my little boy... someday. |

![]() Still the same issue... Everything works fine, then GPU utilization drops to 0-1%, time of crunching in BM is going on but % is not. I have to manually restart BM. Time gets shortened, GPU is utilized properly until next "lock". I'm really getting pissed by this because I cant check every hour if everything is going fine. Luckili not every WU is affected. I have updated driver and tested other ideas from this and the other topic. No change. In the meantime I was using my GPU at folding@home, not even a single problem. So I don't thing that there is something wrong with my card. |

They would will notice if there any issue to workunits kain. looking at task that failed there are other hosts that got problem to run them. Like: e1s78_ubiquitin_20ns_77-ADRIA_FOLDPERFCO_crystal_ss_contacts_20_QTN_1-0-1-RND6722 And if we look at server status there are a few that have above 90% failed. So wait it out and let them take a look at it. # The simulation has become unstable. Terminating to avoid lock-up (1) This is the same i got for my host and change drivers may not help to this but you could try to lower clock below stock to see if that helps. Got one failed and workunit now say "Too many errors (may have bug)" https://www.gpugrid.net/workunit.php?wuid=12372296 Can´t compare Folding@home and GPUGrid, would be better to run stresstest to see if a card get any issue. |

It is completely different issue, this "locking" tasks don't fail. They get validated but need to be controlled manually. It was reported by me and not only me many times. |

Looks to be same to other cards if you read here: https://www.gpugrid.net/forum_thread.php?id=4524#46622 |

Where do you see anything similar? As I said - tasks affected by my problem don't fail and get validated. |

"similar" as in application have stop but boinc manager would indicate task running as it still are running in background. This is will happen if is get´s "Terminating to avoid lock-up". So your host are in that stage as in pic show. Task active but graphic cards have stopped running. So task still active with application but something made usage to gpu to hold. Could be that it fall back to last checkpoint or use cpu to finished last section instead of gpu. Most surely it will end to "Terminating to avoid lock-up" if you let keep running. The runtime are rarely the same until task fails. Some host brake it after few sec (same as to old task to your host) and some could run it over an hour. The issue could be the same and your 0-1 gpu usage indicate to this. So this is not related to Pascal app as other users show in the thread in post. Most of cases could be that gpu are unstable to clock/driver. |

Kain: In GPU-Z, on the "Graphics Card" tab, what is your value for "GPU Clock"? According to the wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_10_series ... A GTX 1060 running at reference clocks will show 1506 MHz (Wiki has this for "Base core clock"). If your GPU-Z shows a higher value, then I suggest installing MSI Afterburner, then lowering the Core Clock until GPU-Z says 1506 for GPU Clock. Then retest to see if your tasks run with better stability. |

Already tried that, no change. |

Hi everyone. Trying to understand why this machine (ubuntu 16.04) doesnt get work from GPUGRID. This setup have been crunching without problem on all other available boinc projects with gpu apps. What did I overlook? |

Mysteries of Boinc, a reboot did solve the issue; no driver update, nothing else. Seems happily crunching short wus with cuda80 app. |
