I cannot get my NVIDIA drivers to go back from 368.22 to 359.6. Even with a clean install with the NVIDIA Installer and all the checks checked, it will not go back. The driver versions in the property details of the Device Manager says it is back to 359.6, but the NVIDA Experience, BOINC Manager logs, NVIDA Control Panel and GPUGRID pages all still stay 368.22. I am assuming it is back, but with all those disagreements in version, I am just not sure. I cannot uninstall since the mother board has no onboard video. The video card need something to show me during install to 359.6 from nothing. Perhaps I could uninstall and set a reboot at a certain time, maybe give it 45 minutes. Then after boot schedule a silent install of the drivers and software at the 359.6? Or something else if you have suggestions. Or do you think the drivers are good that they show in the Device Manager like that and under Driver Booster, but are just misreporting to all the apps? Thanks for any help. BTW, the 2 systems I do have onboard video on, I was able to do uninstalls and reinstall from nothing after a reboot. They are reporting correctly and I am getting a boost out of them. I can't say for sure I am getting a boost out of this one system I keep trying, but the GPU usage is still lower than the other two now. 1 Corinthians 9:16 "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!" If you uninstall the drivers you still should have basic VGA support. Display Driver Uninstaller should get everything left over and then install 359.06: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html |

I'll give this a try. TeamViewer does have access to reboot into Safe Mode with Networking and turn itself on. Since I have TeamViewer installed, might I lose the remote if the display drivers are gone and do it all locally or do you think the standard VGA will work through and allow me to do it all remotely? I do have a screen hooked up to it and its in the basement where I avoid, but can go. |

Locally, don't avoid the basement. There's nothing scary... ;-) |

Going downstairs 3 times, I am completely wiped out. And frustrated. Windows 10 does not allow login to Safe Mode. Or perhaps it needs a network connection to do so. Safe Mode with Networking does NOT turn on the Dual-Band Wi-Fi-Go! that uses the internet on this machine, so it cannot verify my MS password and there is no option to use a local account. So I was stuck doing it in normal windows mode and a reboot to complete. I also was too tired after the trips to do it locally anymore, so I did it remotely and it worked. (BTW, its the cancers that keep me immobile most of the time, not fear of the basement. Being 2 floors up from it is the tough part.) Either way, thanks for the tool! It did work great. 1 Corinthians 9:16 "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!" Sorry about the little joking and hope you get well soon. Glad DDU worked for you. |

For what it's worth ... I routinely use DDU in "Normal Mode" (not using the "Safe Mode" option), without problems. |
