Hi, I just had bought a Titan Z. This graphics card has a DP power of nearly 1800GFLOPS. Does GPUGRID max this power out? Or does GPUGRID use the SP power oonly? regards Veit |

GPUGrid has SP apps and doesn't rely on DP. BTW the Titan Z's SP is officially 8122 GFLOPS and the DP is 2707 GFLOPS. It's a dual Kepler GK110 GPU. FAQ's HOW TO: - Opt out of Beta Tests - Ask for Help |

Hi, I had aktivated the DP at the Nvidia X Server Settings because my Titan Z has a very high DP performance. Since a view days my boinc-client can not resolve server name and due to that it can neither deliver tasks nor download new tasks. Cloud it be that it is because this DP-Setting? OR could it have other reasons? Which? regards Veit |

What are you using DP for anyway? Nothing really uses it and unless you know of something specifically, it's best to disable this feature, which it is by default. The only BOINC project that I'm aware of that might even be able to benefit from it is MilkyWay@home, though I'm not even sure about that. The only time I've enabled it on my Titan Blacks, I didn't notice much of any difference. The only thing enabling DP might likely do for your GPUGrid tasks is reduce performance a little bit. GPUGrid has been having issues with their tasks on and off for a while, so I suspect it's something on their end causing issues. This is why it's best to have backup projects to crunch for in the meantime while GPUGrid works to resolve their issues. But yeah, you should go ahead and disable DP anyway, unless you're actually using it for something.
