Yesterday I selected "No New Tasks" in my BOINC client to prevent any new tasks from downloading as I was going to work on my PC. I'm back up now. In BOINC I selected "Allow New Tasks" and then UPDATE and I get this Notice and Event Log Error: "Your current settings do not allow tasks from this project. To fix this, you can change Project Preferences on the project's web site." I never changed anything on the project website settings and I don't see anything there that needs fixing. All I did was "No New Tasks" then later "Allow New Tasks" - both from the BOINC client only. What am I missing??? Thanks, Win |

You're missing a GPU: Host 150871. I see you're running Windows 10. Many people have had problems with the GPU drivers that Microsoft supply with Windows 10: re-install drivers from NVidia, and you should get your GTX 650 Ti back. |

As Emily Latilla would say: Never mind! When I powered up this morning it downloaded and is running a GPU task. All OK. Thanks, Win |

There are no new tasks as of today. Is this in anticipation of the changeover that's is happening tomorrow? |

Checked server status - says everything is up although there are only 2 WUs available. Stopped and restated BOINC without success. 12/9/2015 7:53:10 AM | GPUGRID | Scheduler request failed: Couldn't connect to server 12/9/2015 7:53:10 AM | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 12/9/2015 7:53:11 AM | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. |

See the News area: Probable access problems on 9th Dec. Looks like the change is complete as seen from the UK, but different DNS servers around the world will update themselves at different times. |

My last two runs ended in cancelled by server and miscalculation. Since then for the past few days I have received no new tasks. I've never had a day go by that I wasn't running a GPUGrid task. |

Paul, your last WU was aborted because it was not uploaded (returned) in time. After 5 days the same WU was sent to another system and returned after a successful run before your task was aborted. Perhaps this issue was in part due to the server disk space problems and you were unable to upload the task in time? Suggest you restart the system (and router) and try to get tasks manually. If you cannot, you might want do some work for another project until GPUGrid work comes your way again (set a low priority). Note that there are not enough WU at present. No tasks available, again. 21.03.2016 16:06:48 | GPUGRID | No tasks sent 21.03.2016 16:06:48 | GPUGRID | No tasks are available for Short runs (2-3 hours on fastest card) 21.03.2016 16:06:48 | GPUGRID | No tasks are available for Long runs (8-12 hours on fastest card) 21.03.2016 16:06:48 | GPUGRID | No tasks are available for Molecular Dynamics for CPU and AMD GPUs 21.03.2016 16:06:48 | GPUGRID | Project has no tasks available I am meeting this problem every other day or so for a few weeks. Sometimes I need to wait minutes, sometimes hours and hours. I even needed to stop crunching (or rather, trying) GPUGrid for some time. This time firstly I even could not ping the server. Ofc you can live with it but I think the project loses this way some real FLOPs and perhaps even volunteers.[/code] |

If there are 0 tasks available, per the status page: https://www.gpugrid.net/server_status.php ... then there's simply no work available. Join another GPU project, so that your GPUs stay busy during times when GPUGrid has no work. It's that simple. And you can set those other projects as Resource Share 0, if you'd like, and then BOINC will treat them as backup projects and only get work when the main projects are out. A project being out of work, is not a bad thing. It's just something that happens. So try not to complain! |

If the project is low or out of work, that means we are running AT CAPACITY. All of the work being generated is being processed. I see that as a good thing, myself. |
