Using Xububtu 15.10 with a 8-core CPU and nvidia GTX 970. The last WU completed on this PC was 20 Nov 2015. All WU attempted since resulted in "error while computing." Any one have any suggestions? I tried restarting the PC and BOINC mgr. Thank you.

I know nothing about Linux but the message in the output of your tasks looks like there is a permissions issue.

# Unable to initialise. Check permissions on /dev/nvidia* (err=100)

The error message that might give another clue is:

201 (0xc9) EXIT_MISSING_COPROC

Which says to me that the task can't find the GPU. This usually happens when GPU drivers aren't installed properly. Did you per chance install a kernel upgrade lately? Sometimes that causes GPU drivers to become ineffective. You might try re-installing the GPU drivers and see if that helps.

if you get "No usable gpus found" , try to install

nvidia-modprobe

and reboot
