After this project recovered from its "no work" period, I noticed that the "Long Run" tasks were running for 24 hours instead of the usual 12 on my GTX 760. Did the work units get longer or is it something else?

The Gerrard WU's are long but it doesn't mean the project has gone for longer WU's

Ok. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a problem on my end. Thanks.

I was wondering about this as well. I seem to be able to crunch through 2 of them running at the same time per GPU in about, roughly 22 hours on my Titan Blacks at their boost clock rate of 1124MHz. I'm not aware of any GPUs that could crunch through them in "8-12" hours though. Maybe an overclocked Titan X?

I don't particularly mind the longer running work units, though I suppose some might. This is just an observation.

Maybe "4-24 hours on fastest cards" would be less confusing and more accurate to say.

Hi Wrend,

My gtx970 can munch these at 9:45 without anyting else using the CPU but normally I can do them at 10:15.

Good to see you on the project

Thanks for the info. It may partly be that I'm running 2 per GPU (4 total) and using the CPU threads to crunch for other projects at the same time as well then. Still though, the GPUs and CPU aren't completely loaded, just mostly.

I must admit that I haven't tried running one task per GPU nor without having the CPU loaded in quite a while.

I think I'll tweak the settings to let the GPU tasks have access to a higher percentage of CPU threads as well. Right now they're set to be limited to just use 0.2 of a CPU thread.
