My rig has a 780ti in 0slot and a 780 in 1slot. MY comp shows as 2 780s(no Ti des).
When I had the 780 in 0slot and a 770 in 1slot showed same (2 780s)
BOINC start up log shows the ti des and so does Stderr output for tasks run on the Ti.
Granted not a big deal just odd the Ti des does not show in comp desc.

If you are talking about a BOINC Project's computer description, then yes, it is a known issue that it only shows you the "most capable" GPU type, even if it does show that you have 2 GPUs.

For me, I have 3 GPUs - GTX 660 Ti 3GB, GTX 660 Ti 3GB, GTX 460 1GB. Yet, when I view my computer properties inside any BOINC project's web details, it says:
Coprocessors: [3] NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti (3072MB) driver: 347.52

That's just the way it works. The BOINC Client only informs the server of the most-capable device, and the server only ever knows of the existence of that type of GPU.

Hi Jacob. Yes it is the BOINC Project's computer description that does not show the 780Ti as the "most capable" . Everything all runs great. Just that odd anomaly.

I suppose that is odd.

Could you please do the following steps in the following order:
1) Copy/paste the lines from the Event Log that describe your GPUs
2) In BOINC, click Update on the GPUGrid project, and let it complete (wait at least 20 seconds).
3) Copy/paste the coprocessor description that GPUGrid shows for your coprocessors
