I have two with projected time of 30 hours. I estimate the first running now will be close to 48 hours at current rate of crunching. I only have a laptop starter Nividia (I upgraded to a solid state hard drive in December) but normally I do short runs at 10% less than the BOINC estimates. The first is _2 and the second _4. I will crunch both and see if they are normal recycles or if there are other issues, unless otherwise advised. Thanks |

Can anyone let me know what type of science tasks e13s125_e11s27f99-NOELIA_ETQ_bound are contributing to? |

Hi Speedy, This short tasks are based in the Dopamine 3 receptor. It is a target for treating schizophrenia, Parkinson's, drug abuse and other neurological disorders. This receptor is involved in many complex pathways in the central nervous system and its dysfunction affects in a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders which are not yet well understood. With this experiments, we are trying to understand how eticlopride (ETQ) interacts with it and exerts its action. This molecule is known to bind and block the receptor, and therefore it is mainly used for the schizophrenia treatment. It's mechanism of binding, although would be very interesting for the design of other similar molecules, it is yet not known and that's what we are trying to understand with this simulations. Many thanks for your time! |
