How do you think this card will work out in GPUGRID? Has impressive numbers in single precision. I am getting one in a couple of weeks. |

It won't. We're CUDA/Nvidia only. Sorry. Matt |

I hope you're not just getting it for BOINC? Otherwise 2 HD7950 would crunch about the same amount of work for a fraction of the price. If you need it for work anyway then you're of course welcome to use it for BOINC too :) However, depending on what you're planning to do with it a more modern card with a single Hawaii chip might perform significantly better than this card with 2 cut-down Tahitis. Regarding the project choice: Milkyway also runs great on Tahiti (needs double precision) and yields lot's of credits, whereas Einstein@Home also runs great but "only" gives credits roughly comparable to SETI. And POEM@Home should have their new app in the next revision ready within weeks. It's still beta test, though. MrS Scanning for our furry friends since Jan 2002 |
