What was the value at the time the coins were mined (I assume D@H sold them almost immediately for fiat)? Today it is about $485 per BTC. So almost a 50-fold increase in BTC value from 2012 to today. It even peaked around $1100 early this year. edit2: ok I went to the link you posted, 3,205 bitcoins received in 2012, that would be a maximum value of about $35,200.
