This is not really a 'wish' item, more of a question regarding GPUGRID's vision of the type of work the project would like to crunch. Please understand, I'm not complaining or bitching as I appreciate all the hard work that goes into the science side. I've enable GPUGRID on one of my hosts and with a name like 'GPUGRID', I was hoping for a project that would fully utilize my GPUs which for the most part it has done very well. Recently, I've noticed that GPUGRID CPU jobs have been sent to my host and that GPU jobs have been minimally available. Since I want this host to be utilized by another CPU intensive project, I've blocked CPU WUs from GPUGRID. My question is, with the project's name being associated with GPUs, why is the project enhancing CPU work while allowing GPU work to wind down? Is this the direction GPUGRID would like to head? Thanks for any insight and keep up the good work! Best Regards, Steve |

Hi, because not everything is good on GPUs. The application on CPU is different from the one on GPUs, but we need that as well to do the science. gdf |
