The BOINC project homepage has a link to the documentation for BOINC client and BOINC manager to help people overcome ignorance about BOINC. Actually there are 2 links named Documentaion on that page, use the one closest to the top of the page, the lower one is documentation for BOINC server. When you get to the documentation site bookmark the page then click "Client configuration". It's all there. BOINC <<--- credit whores, pedants, alien hunters |

THANX Dagorath, all is well now. I was a little punch drunk setting up a dual boot. My computer skills are not great but I read , try and then learn from the mistakes....then read... learn...repeat. |

The place of cc_config.xml on Windows XP: c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BOINC\cc_config.xml The suggested content of cc_config.xml: <cc_config> <options> <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> <report_results_immediately>1</report_results_immediately> </options> </cc_config> |

The place of cc_config.xml on Windows XP: And in Windows 7 it's: C:\Program Data\Boinc\cc_config.xml For some unknown reason on SOME pc's the program and the data are squished together ie programdata, while on others there is a space between them ie program data, I have no clue why, but either way it's the same directory. |
