GTX 750 and 750 TI will be out 18th Feb. These are based on the GM107 maxwell chip, so a small maxwell. Performance wise they should be around 40% the speed of a GTX780 but consume only 75W. More details here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_700_Series We are going to Nvidia in US in few weeks, let's see if can get one to test. gdf |

Another great example of the GPUGrid team's commitment! Hopefully Nvidia will give you a card so you can start to work on optimizing ACEMD for the new Maxwell architecture!!! Thanks - Steve |

Hopefully these will allow the devs and researchers to ready an app for when the bigger cards arrive (20nm). GPU Codename Cuda cores bus Boost GDDR5 Price GTX750Ti GM107 640 128bit! 1150MHz 2GB/5400MHz ~$135US GTX750 GM107 512 128bit! 1137MHz 1GB!/5010MHz ~$100US A few words of caution: These may not work straight out of the box. In fact they may never work. Both reference cards are limited to a 128bit bus, and the cards are not super-scalar. So it's difficult to predict performance. Neither card support SLI (good for here, but perhaps not if you game). The reference GTX750 is a 1GB model. This basically rules it out as a long term GPUGrid card, as some tasks are larger than 1GB. So I would not advise anyone to buy a 750 to crunch at GPUGrid. In time there might be a 2GB version, as with the GTX650Ti, but its still an entry level card. http://videocardz.com/49581/asus-geforce-gtx-750-series-detailed-plus-real-specs-gm107 FAQ's HOW TO: - Opt out of Beta Tests - Ask for Help |

I need some help. Until last week I had a very old computer, so I haven't joined GPUGRIP, I just bought a new one (i5 8GB RAM and GT630 2GB DDR3) and I had "rediscover" BOINC and joined GPUGRID. I am not fan of games but I would like to use the graphic card "to crunch" for GPUGRID as maximum possible. As the computer is new, tomorrow I have the opportunity of upgrade the graphic card (no cost for the GT630). What configuration do you advise? GTX650 1GB, GTX650 2GB, GTX 750 1GB, GTX750 Ti 2GB, or GTX 660 2GB (all DDR5)?. The two last are a little bit more expensive but I can try to negotiate the price for a piece of hardware that I had the silly idea to buy on impulse and I think I will not use in the future (Blu-ray). Thanks, Lluis |

Going by what Matt said, until CUDA6 is released for general use the GTX750 and GTX750Ti cards will not work here. That leaves the GTX660 2GB as being the best choice in your list. While NVidia did say they would release CUDA6 early this year, it could be days or weeks and I don't know if the GPUGrid app will immediately work or need to be refined. Perhaps Matt will try a Maxwell with CUDA6 and let us know? FAQ's HOW TO: - Opt out of Beta Tests - Ask for Help |

This is a problem only of GTX750 and GTX750 Ti or all the series (GTX760, GTX770 and GTX780 has the same problem ? |

This is a problem only of GTX750 and GTX750 Ti or all the series (GTX760, GTX770 and GTX780 has the same problem ? Only the new GTX750 and GTX750Ti. The GTX770 and GTX780 work great here but are more expensive. Try to negotiate to get a 770 ore 780 with 2GB RAM and you can crunch here for a couple of years. Greetings from TJ |

What about GTX760? That will work today. Matt |
