Hi, In Linux UBUNTU few days ago the CPU usage on tasks both long and short has fallen 8% despite having configured (as always) to target a core app_config the GPU. Windows 8.1 in normal operation Until now the CPU load was nearly 100%...? |

So I don't thinks it's a batch issue. I guess a driver issue caused the SWAN sync to stop working. FAQ's HOW TO: - Opt out of Beta Tests - Ask for Help |

Hi, Thanks for the comment. As I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 Beta with continuous updates will be that the problem (so far it has worked perfectly)'ll see if it fixes it. Greetings. |

On my Ubuntu 12.04 systems the CPU is usually 99 - 100% with occasional dips down to 98%. I don't have SWAN sync set via an environment variable because I've heard that is no longer necessary. BOINC <<--- credit whores, pedants, alien hunters |

Hello, After several short and long tasks with little CPU load in real time differences in implementation are minimal, in the long run it took about 8 minutes approx (24791.08 +2,503.30) to complete the "task-9x475-NOELIA_FXArep 1-2-RND8100_0 " In short tasks the difference is almost negligible naturally much lower, (+120 sec. Middle). In short, I think the balance is positive because with a low CPU load practically the results are almost the same with the CPU at 100% with the consequent cost, temperatures etc ... |

Maybe the load is not being reported correctly in Ubuntu 14.04? Or maybe the CPU scheduler is improved in 14.04? BOINC <<--- credit whores, pedants, alien hunters |

Maybe the load is not being reported correctly in Ubuntu 14.04? Hi, The CPU load is surely well informed and that corresponds to a lower temperature reported by CPU and system information. Moreover -app_config- secure the read and interpreted is assigned as exclusive, as scheduled, a CPU to the GPU but in the case of GPUGRID not translated into an increase in the load of the CPU. I remember that in reality is only GPUGRID the project in that the allocation of an exclusive GPU meant a greater burden of the CPU, in other projects is not always so (eg Einstein and Asteroids) Very possibly a bug in the BOINC settings in 14.04 Beta, you'll see what happens in the following updates. Ubuntu 14.04 is working generally very well with very few problems. |

Hi, In Ubuntu 13.10 the CPU load is 98% on average, so it is confirmed that only Ubuntu 14.10 BETA little CPU load moment at least is given, see the following updates. |
