This is a thread for discussing a Python script I wrote named gpu_d.py. If you want to send money to me then by all means post about that here. If you want to post about why your GPUgrid tasks are failing please start a different thread and post there. gpu_d is freeware. Download gpu_d_0.1n.zip if you want to give it a try. I created it on Linux with Python 2.7.3. It should run on any platform Python runs on including Windows and OSX though I think Win and OSX users already have better apps to do what gpu_d does. The current version, 0.1n, has the following features: *low overhead simple ncurses interface *controls temperature of one local NVIDIA GPU *reports various other info about the GPU

Doh! I wasn't thinking. gpu_d probably will not run on anything but Linux because it is just a frontend for NVIDIA's nvidia-settings binary and I suspect nvidia-settings ships only with Linux versions of the driver. BOINC <<--- credit whores, pedants, alien hunters |

I put gpu_d on github at https://github.com/Dagorath/gpu_d and have removed it from the link in the OP. BOINC <<--- credit whores, pedants, alien hunters |
