GTX780 $499.00 US
GTX770 $329.00 US
GTX780Ti $699.00 US

Newegg has already lowered their prices on the EVGA cards, as usual, their slightly above MSRP.

That is crazy. The GTX770 is basically an overclocked GTX680 and the GTX680 was a $499 card. That's a $170 price drop.

That's not crazy. It's been a long time since the GTX680 was at 500$. And arguably it shouldn't have been there for so long - judging it by die size it's actually an upper mainstream chip which has traditionally occupied the price spot in the 200 - 300$ range while still turning in a profit.

I am checking prizes in the Netherlands daily for a 770, 780 but I don't see any drop currently. Perhaps after 7 November?

What I do notice though is that EVGA and ASUS GPU's are hard to get at the moment.

Yeah, prices could have been reduced a bit more and it should have come a bit sooner.
Over the last month or two I have noticed a gradual slide in prices. While the drop has been more noticeable in the last week or so, it still not a huge drop.
Usually there is a slight drop around the release date, and about two or three months after a new high end release (as long as it's not a paper release) the rest of the line up has usually plateaued.

Online you can buy used, refurbished, as new, display and even new/unused/unwanted GPU's for a lot less. £200 to £250 for a GTX770. £150 to £180 for a GTX670...
