How do I change a "host location" from default ?
Will doing this cause current WU and 1 in cache to fail ?
I set up "home" profile under my preferences....(on this site)
BUT I can't see where/how to change to that option.
I feel like an idiot for asking how to do this but I just couldn't see the option anywhere.
Better to ask than get more frustrated.

sorry for double post - didn't see edit option.
I may have found part of the answer in the client_state.xml file.
BUT seeking confirmation before trying it.

The last line I copied below ... <host_venue></host_venue>
If home was put between the syntax's like this ... <host_venue>home</host_venue>
would that change the host location to home ?

<project>
<master_url>http://www.gpugrid.net/</master_url>
<project_name>GPUGRID</project_name>
<symstore></symstore>
<user_name>underwater</user_name>
<team_name>RedRaider Technology</team_name>
<host_venue></host_venue>

Next question,
In multi gpu systems can we have one gpu at "default location" and another at "home location"
If so what code would we need and where to put it.

Thanks

Edit.. looks like edit option not available for the OP

Online, Select the system you want to change the 'Location' profile for, click Details, and change the Location at the bottom of the page,

For example,
http://www.gpugrid.net/show_host_detail.php?hostid=158246 - will only work for you!

a minor follow up for anybody interested...

using the web inter does indeed change the value of the "<host_venue>home</host_venue>" line/command in the client_state.xml file - as I suspected in post 2 of the thread, by adding in the home value.
Of course there is likely to be other changes that is made by the web interface that I am unaware of.
It's somewhat satisfying that I was on the right track though.

If you just enter it locally it might change back on the next communication with the server, but I'm not sure. Got myself into trouble messing with these in the past, so I tend to stick to the recommended online way.
