Dears, just to let you know: I am experiencing a 20x slowdown on the said driver and boinc 7.0.29 (found in stock Fedora 17's repos; official clients don't work in FC17). Card is GTX 480, CUDA 4.2.

Clock appears to go up normally in the X Server Settings panel, no other sign of problems except this slowdown.

Has anybody had similar experiences?

I heard there were severe problems with 7.0.29 but have no idea what they are.

Hi, The latest version is 313.18. GTX 590

I have it installed on Ubuntu 12.10-64bits long without problems with BOINC 7.0.58

Downgrading to 6.12.43 did not solve the problem.

Right now, versions seem to be 313.26 (short-term support) and 310.40 (long-term).

Tried 304.84? Should be sufficient.
I've heard that FC18 has issues too. Mind you 313.26 might not be compiled correctly.
